On October 12, I was in Moncton to be the photographer for Walk a Mile Moncton. I participated as a volunteer, being recruited by Amber Richards, who I’ve known through Twitter and met face to face at Harvest Jazz and Blues this year.
This event is a fundraiser that benefits the Coalition Against Abuse in Relationships. Inspired by the adage of learning someone else’s experience by walking a mile in their shoes, men are encouraged to walk a mile in women’s high heels. In Moncton, this meant walking from the corner of Highfield at the Crowne Plaza down Main St to the corner of Botsford and back.
Contact Amber at info@walkamilemoncton.ca if you need more information about the walk.
